WoW News - A Small Roundup

There have been a couple of news since my last post so I thought I could make a collective post. I will also start using jump breaks so I my home page will not get so clutched and big with whole newsposts. So press the "Read More" button below for the whole post.

"Flying and talking about doomsday in your mobile after drinking the octoberfest ale made by your alchemist is not a good idea."

The End is Near! (On PTR)

THE IMPENDING DOOM COMETH! IT SHALL DEVOUR US ALL! Or so say the Doomsayers in Azeroth these days on the PTR (Or at least something like it). This is the part of the Cataclysm event and I am looking forward to seeing this and the coming events in its whole when release is closing in. This first part is apparently a questline where you observe the Doomsayers and figure out a reason for their actions. If you are interested you can read about the questline at MMO-Champion.

Rerolling Alchemy

Why? I’ll show you why:

Apparently this mount is not a mount. This is actually the player himself using Vial of the Sands. It looks good AND you get to have a passenger. Hopefully we non-alchemists will get something similar. Probably something not that epic though. My guess goes for the [Transformation rod of the Giant Fly-fish] or something ridiculous like that.

Mobile WoW

Introducing the latest in mobile WoW’ing: Mobile Guild Chat! They call it Guild Chat but you can actually get Whispers as well and of course Officer Chat. It is available for iPhone and Android and it is included in the costs of your Mobile Auction House subscription.

So with this joining the Mobile Auction House what is next? Oh I know: “Mobile Peacebloom vs. Ghouls!” followed by “Mobile [Tradechat]” for the comfort of planning your PUG later on or just general trolling. And I guess it will continue like this until you can play the whole game on your mobile phone.

Mmmm, beer!

The Brewfest started this Monday and with only two changes it is almost like last year. The changes however were surprisingly convenient. First off you can use the dungeon finder tool to get a group for Coren Direbrew runs. Secondly the mounts Great Brewfest Kodo and Swift Brewfest Ram now drops from Keg-Shaped Treasure Chest which you can get max once day as a reward for defeating Coren Direbrew. The “Chest” can also drop Tankard O' Terror, Direbrew's Bloody Shanker and Direbrew's Remote and you will always get 2 x Emblem of Frost.

If you are not familiar to the Brewfest you can read it up at WoWInsider’s Brewfest FAQ.

In my opinion it is a fun event with a bit of a low moral standing (Drink & Drive) but is of course directed to the adult playerbase. But if you see Pink Elekks and Wolpertingers after a couple of beers in real life you should probably lay off the ingame Brewfest for a while.
